BTicino has always sought to maintain aesthetic qualities united with those of comfort and ease of use. The company’s activities began with the objective of realising an extensive range of aesthetic furnishing alternatives, and has recently succeeded in opening new possibilties to the world in terms of craftmanship quality through industrial manufacturing.
The attention to product design has contributed to the diffusion of the BTicino brand around the world, and enabled the company to attain important acknowledgements such as the French architects Oscar for the Living series (1987), the Compasso d’Oro award (1989), a nomination for the EEC award (1990), a nomination for the IF award (1996), the German Roter Punkt for the new consumer series Living and Light (1996), the Intel design award for the Sfera product (1999), and the Reddot award for the integrated system My Home BTicino.
In last years BTicino still wins Intel design award with My Home (2001) and Swing and My Home Web (2003).

The My Home system from BTicino wins the XIX edition of the Compasso d'Oro - ADI with the following motivation “reassumes good formal qualities and technologies, by using a coordinated system in the house that introduces domotics innovation into the domestic landscape in an effective and non invasive manner”.

The Bticino My Home system, with the “Light Tech series” has won the prestigious Reddot Award 2001 as the “best of the best” in the Architecture and Environment section.
